We're fully into the throws of cobearbob
's Birthday weekend. Bob's Birthday was yesterday, Friday the 21st and he took the day off, making his Birthday into a 3 day weekend. We started out Friday morning heading to the gym. We figured the weekend should start out with one good deed. After the gym, we headed off to Northfield for lunch at Texas De Brazil, a very nice Churrascaria, which is a Brazilian steakhouse. They only do lunch on Fridays and it is a buffet, with the traditional meats coming around on swords, and they slice you off bits of things that you'd like to try. It was a full on meat onslaught, and meat coma ensuedWe decided to settle in after the meat-fest and headed over to the movie theater to catch The Green Hornet in 3D. I didn't realize it was directed by former music video director Michel Gondry. His style is very unique, and the fight scenes were all done in a different style. I liked the movie, but thought it was 3 out of 5 stars at best. I thought Seth Rogan was poorly cast.
After the movie, we stopped off at the Wrangler, Denver's bear bar for a beer before heading off to Bowling.Bob really likes to bowl, and as we don't travel as much in the Winter/Spring, we can join the Friday night Bowling league. Bob has a lot of friends in the Friday night league, so we signed up with his Friend Greg to make our 3 man team. We're now into our 3rd week and we bowl 3 games a week. I was bowling really poorly my first week, and could barely break 100. I was bowling 130's last night. We stopped back off at the Wrangler for another beer before we headed home. This Morning we slept in and went and walked around the mile high flea market for a bit.Tonight we are going to hit our favorite Mongolian BBQ joint, BD's in Lodo. After that we have tickets to see The Airborne Toxic Event play with the Colorado Symphony at Boecher Concert Hall.Tomorrow is the last day for the National Western Stock Show, which is a really cool event here in Colorado. We're going to head over there in the morning while everyone else is at Church and see what's left. After that, we'll grab some lunch before hitting the Sunday beer bust at the Wrangler.
Bob leaves on Monday morning for a work trip to Atlanta.
